A Perfectly Pink Segue to Spring in Vancouver

It’s time to shake off the winter blues because change is in the air, so shed the down-filled outerwear, put on your sunglasses, and let’s enthusiastically embrace spring with wide-open arms!

There’s no better way to recharge & rejuvenate here on the West Coast than to lace up your kicks to explore Vancouver’s spring landscape, which has been painted with swaths of fabulously frothy shades of pink. No matter where you look, it’s hard to miss the bevy of blossoms lining the streets and boulevards of over 40,000 cherry blossoming trees scattered throughout the city. Go outside; enjoy the mountain & water views from one of the many parks, beaches, or walkways while you stroll, cycle, run, or just casually saunter about. Engage in some of the many pieces of public art you’re bound to see along the way; a couple of conversations pieces include Liz Magor’s Light Shed; a “house” on stilts as well as Metz & Chew’s “Sliding Edge; a solitary sentry overlooking the seawall walk way along Coal Harbour. And if you’re out and about near David Lam Park, you might just be able to catch the lilting melody of a dainty flutist’s paean to spring’s spectacular blossoms.
