Vancouver is in the Pink!

Springtime in Vancouver is marked by the sun peaking out more often, the days becoming slightly longer, and buds and blossoms beginning to dot the landscape in parks, gardens, and boulevards across the city.

Locals and visitors alike anticipate the herald of spring: it’s when the annual ritual of cherry blossom sightings appear throughout the urban landscape with dedicated celebrations including picnics, festivals, guided walks and bike tours.

Sit and enjoy an outdoor lunch under a canopy of pink marshmallow fluff at Lot 19, a parklet just outside our front doors or head to David Lam Park (just two train stops away from The Auberge) where a grove of ceremonial cherry trees line the park’s perimeter: the entire area is festooned with glorious pink blossoms in April through to the beginning of May. But like many things in nature, the beauty of cherry blossoms are all too fleeting; capture and savour this ephemeral moment while it while it lasts.
