Autumn Exploration in Vancouver and Beyond

Late autumn in Vancouver is a visual treat for the senses. It reveals itself in a fiery blaze of red, orange and yellow leaves scattered on the ground as well as still on the trees; punctuating the landscape in living colour. Looking out the window of your suite you’ll see tree-lined downtown streets dressed in golden foliage, and a mere stone’s throw away in Coal Harbour, the hard to miss maple leaf red trees are in their glory. Take a sunny stroll along the seawall all the way to Stanley Park to enjoy the activity on the water with the boats and sea planes. Adventurous for more? Hop in your car or take a direct bus shuttle for a day trip to Whistler, a mere 90 minutes from downtown Vancouver where fall is quickly transitioning into winter. Although ski season is just around the corner, now’s the perfect time to experience the crisp mountain air on a quiet leisurely walk around the village without the usual crowds. If it’s a bit rainy, escape the wet weather by visiting the world renowned Audain Art Museum, home to one of the finest collections of First Nations art and artifacts. Then return to the Auberge; put your feet up while enjoying the late afternoon autumn view from your suite with a cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee. A brilliant way to spend a November day!
