On a typically rainy morning in downtown Vancouver just one day shy of Valentine’s Day, romance was in the air: a spur of the moment wedding ceremony was about to begin!
Our happy couple Matt and Veronica journeyed all the way from Chicago to what was supposedly just to watch the Canucks vs Blackhawks game, but unbeknownst to Veronica, something else was in store for her because just prior to the game, Matt got down on one knee and asked her if she would like to get married the very next day. Well of course she said yes! The couple, who had originally planned to elope on Leap Day this year (Feb 29th), decided to speed up the process, and on the very next morning in one of the Auberge suites, the couple said their vows in a very private ceremony, with marriage commissioner Linda officiating the nuptials and witnessed only by the parents of the bride (as the surprise guests!).
